Most notably, the hot spring’s stunning color makeup of orange, yellow, and green surrounding the deep blue waters offer a remarkable contrast. It is also the third-largest spring in the world and is deeper than a 10-story building!
Complete with three distinct and dynamic waterfalls, the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is an explorers paradise. Spanning 24 miles, the canyon offers numerous hiking trails and lookout points that can take you all day to delve into. Still, if you’re short on time, we recommend heading to Artist Point, which offers an incredible view of the majestic Lower Falls Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.
Even though Old Faithful resides in the Upper Geyser Basin, there is so much more to see. Unknown to many, the basin is home to the largest concentration of geysers in the world, including Castle Geyser, Daisy Geyser, and the tallest predictable geyser on the planet, Grand Geyser.
