Yosemite National Park | Tour from San Francisco | Incredible Adventures

A Yosemite tour from San Francisco is an excellent complement to your visit to the Bay Area. Our Yosemite Tours are conducted in environmentally friendly biofuel mini-coaches, in a small-group format (15 passengers maximum per tour) to make the experience more personal. Our guides are hand-picked and specifically trained to know everything you want to know about the park’s features and rich history.

Our Yosemite 1 Day Tour focuses on the highlights of the beautiful Yosemite Valley – see Half Dome, El Capitan and waterfalls like Bridalveil Fall and the incredible cascades of Yosemite Falls (which flow seasonally). Enjoy a 90-minute narrated in-coach tour of the valley’s most famous sights, and then spend 3 hours exploring any way you like: rent a bike, take a hike to the top of a waterfall, or check out the exhibits at the visitor’s center.

Our Yosemite 2 Day Hotel Tour includes all the highlights of the Yosemite 1 Day Tour plus visits to a grove of Giant Sequoia trees and Glacier Point (for spectacular views of the valley from above). Enjoy all this adventure along with the comfort of sleeping in a warm bed in your choice of two Yosemite hotels.

The Yosemite Escape Camping Tour is our most comprehensive tour of Yosemite Park. With three full days in the park, you’re guaranteed to see parts of Yosemite that most tourists don’t even know about! You’ll explore the high country, stand beneath the awe-inspiring Giant Sequoias, and still have plenty of time to check out the valley. At night, cozy up in your sleeping bag after enjoying warm meals prepared fire-side by you and your group! THIS is the way to see Yosemite.

Whether you only have a day to spare for a Yosemite tour or you want to feed your sense of adventure, we are sure to have the right Yosemite National Park Tour for you!

Incredible Adventures can also custom design a Private Yosemite Charter in one of our biofuel mini-coaches to accommodate your family, group of friends, or organization.

Yosemite National Park is comprised of 761,268 acres (3,080.74 square km) of the Sierra Nevada mountain range in central/eastern California. The park is known for its majestic granite cliffs (including Half Dome and El Capitan), and its astounding waterfalls (Yosemite Falls are the tallest in the United States, with a combined 2425ft/ 738m of falling water). Yosemite is also home to groves of Giant Sequoia trees, which are the largest living things in the world, and are only native to this part of the mountain range.

Yosemite has been inhabited for nearly 4000 years, and was home to several tribes of Native Americans (including the Paiute, Sierra Miwok, and Ahwahneechee) who gave names to much of the surrounding area.

Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias were granted to California in 1864 by a federal order signed by President Abraham Lincoln. This grant is considered the foundation upon which state and federal parks were later established. The surrounding areas we protected in 1890, and the entire area was incorporated into a national park in 1905. The U.S. park system as a whole is considered to be a National Treasure, and some of the more famous areas (including Yosemite) have come to be known as the “Crown Jewels” of the system.

The first tourists arrived to Yosemite in 1855 – about 40 people came. Now Yosemite sees nearly 4 million visitors annually. Although the park itself is very large, a majority of its visitors spend their time in the 7 square miles of Yosemite Valley.
