Napa Valley Wine Tour with Sonoma Wine Country

Why We Love This Tour

“When in Northern California, you have to go wine tasting. Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge to start the day never disappoints, and visiting three wineries is the perfect amount. I always do this with my friends and family when they are in town!”

Overview

Taste amazing wine and explore picturesque Napa & Sonoma Valley with ease

The best-selling wine tour from San Francisco! With unforgettable views, included world-class tastings & free time to explore a bit on your own, this tour includes everything you’d want from a day in wine country.

As soon as you step out the front door of your hotel and into our tour experience, you’ll be taken on a whirlwind, wine-tastic adventure that takes you across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, through the Marin Headlands, and right into the rolling hills of California’s breathtaking Wine Country. This tour offers a lively, fully immersive, educational tour of both Napa and Sonoma Valley.

With door-to-door service from downtown San Francisco to each winery, a day of wine tasting couldn’t be easier. Travel in our luxury air-conditioned vehicles and learn about the area’s fascinating history of wine tasting along the way. Be dropped back off in San Francisco around 5:00 pm, just in time to grab dinner at one of the city’s many amazing restaurants.

Itinerary

8:30am – 9:00am: Make your way to the pre-arranged pick-up spots. We recommend you arrive at least 10 minutes early.

Morning: From the cozy vantage of the coach, you’ll take in panoramic scenes that span from the city skyline to Alcatraz Island and across the boat-speckled bay. We’ll leave the rush of the city behind and set the pace for a relaxing day out in the country.

You’ll know we’ve entered Sonoma County when the roads open up to vivid sceneries of the patchwork farms, rolling hills, and lush valleys that have produced world-renowned wines for over 60 years. Your expert guide will take you on a journey through the history, unique soil conditions, and microclimates to help you fully appreciate the unparalleled Wine Country experience.

Before lunch, you’ll visit your first winery and sample an assortment of their most popular wines.

Lunch: Depending on the day’s itinerary, we’ll stop in one of two quaint wine country towns. In Sonoma or Yountville, explore the shops and grab a fresh, local lunch in this area known for artisanal products and fresh produce.

Afternoon: After lunch, we’ll continue our wine country tasting tour by stopping at two more quintessential wineries. See how grapes are picked, crushed, blended and bottled. Then walk through the vineyards and taste the finished product! Don’t forget to browse the gift shops and pick up some extra bottles to take home with you too.

Approx 5:00pm: In the late afternoon, we’ll return back to the city. You’ll be dropped off in central downtown San Francisco near Union Square just in time to grab dinner at one of the city’s amazing restaurants.

****Sample Itineraries: We do our best to follow our itineraries as written, but don’t control the weather (yet) and we can’t make promises about special events or traffic conditions in Wine Country. While we guarantee that we’ll do our best to provide you with all of the highlights within this itinerary (conditions permitting), we do not guarantee them in this specific order.*
