Don’t be afraid of a San Francisco Bike Rental. Despite the famous steep hills, bicycling is a very popular mode of transportation in San Francisco. Voted as a top city for cycling, San Francisco is laced with 63 miles of bicycle lanes and paths. There is something for every riding ability ranging from the paved embarcadero waterfront to dirt singletracks in the hills. Bicycle rental packages include everything you need for an enjoyable day exploring the City by the Bay on a bike. Maps and touring suggestions lead you down the most scenic and least demanding routes through the city, and local buses and ferries are equipped with bicycle racks in case your wanderlust outlasts your stamina. Ride across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito, or tour the Embarcadero and Fisherman’s Wharf on your way to Golden Gate Park. The itinerary is up to you. Comfort Hybrid

This bike is designed for the leisurely rider. Narrow tires and 24 speeds are ideal for touring city streets and bike paths. The disc brakes and front suspension ensure a truly comfortable ride!

Mountain Bike

$36 per day

Our mountain bikes are perfect for riding everywhere. Thick tread and front suspension make for a great ride on dirt tracks as well as paved roads. Go where you want on this all-purpose bike.

Tandem Bike

$60 per day

Why not try the tandem? It’s a fun way to cycle together and take in the sights. Perfect for photographs on the fly. Suitable for most tour routes in the city (a climb to Twin Peaks may be a bit difficult).

Current departures at 10am & 1pm daily.

Additional details:

Meet 15 min early at 2715 Hyde St for fittings and gear.
Ferry tickets NOT INCLUDED, but can be purchased at Blazing Saddles in the morning.
Bikes can be returned any time (there’s an after-hours dropoff procedure), rentals are for 24 hours so need to be back by 10am the next morning at the latest.

Partner operated activities are subject to the policy of the operator. The San Francisco Bike Tours and Rentals are 100% refundable if cancelled 48 hours prior to departure. If cancelled less than 48 hours prior to departure no refund will be issued.

Informative, Friendly, and Helpful

The staff were informative, friendly and helpful making the process very simple. They provided us with a map and showed us where to go. They also gave us the tickets for the return journey by ferry from Sausalito which we did not have to pay for if unused ($11). We biked the Golden Gate Bridge which was a lovely route, only 2 hills! Only downside was the fog over the bridge but sunny Sausalito more than made up for it. We were not expecting anything from Sausalito but it was a beautiful little town with shops, restaurants and galleries

Excellent Day Out

This is not be missed. The staff were incredibly friendly and the cycle routes were easy to use. There was plenty of time to take pictures on the bridge, and Sausalito was a lovely place to have lunch. Ferrying with the bike was easy and the staff again were efficient and friendly when returning the bikes. Excellent day out.
