This tour includes scooting up Russian Hill, riding down the world’s “crookedest street”, seeing the sights in North Beach Little Italy and a glide along the waterfront.

ADVANCED TOURS: All Guests on this advanced tour must have taken a 2+ hour Segway Tour on a newer version of the Segway i2 with lean steer. Our tours or a full 2+ hour tour in another city in the last 12 months will qualify you. A five minute test ride or tours the older version ( non moving handlebar design) of the Segway do not qualify. All members of your group must have the minimum experience. NO REFUND or exchange will be given for booking an advanced tour without the proper experience.

WHARF & WATERFRONT

The Segway Tour route follows the waterfront and allows guests great views of San Francisco Bay and the City Skyline. After a 40 minute training session on how to safely operate the Segway, you will explore the San Francisco waterfront for two hours. Tours are limited to ten riders per tour guide. Each guest is issued a compact radio receiver so they don’t miss a detail of what the guide is saying about each site seen on the tour. Numerous stops are made for photos – so don’t forget your camera. You’ll see:

  • Fisherman’s Wharf, Dungeness Crab Stands, and picturesque fishing harbors
  • Historic sailing ships at Hyde Street Pier
  • WWII Liberty Ship and Submarine Pampanito

GOLDEN GATE PARK TOUR

A combination of designated trails, bike paths and low speed-light traffic streets are used to conduct the guided tour of the Park. After a 40 minute training on how to safely operate the Segway, you’ll explore the sights of Golden Gate Park for two hours. Explore 8 miles of the Eastern part of Golden Gate Park which covers both the famous landmarks and many hidden and less explored areas. Your experienced and fun tour guide will narrate your tour through a compact single ear-bud sound system. Each guest is issued a compact radio receiver so they don’t miss a detail of what the guide is saying about each site seen on the tour. You’ll see:

SEGWAY NIGHT TOUR

Explore San Francisco by Night on this unique and fun-filled tour. Explore Fisherman’s Wharf, North Beach, Chinatown and the Water front. After a 40 minute training session on how to safely operate the Segway, you will glide through lively neighborhoods for a total of two hours. Each guest is issued a compact radio receiver so they don’t miss a detail of what the guide is saying about each site seen on the tour. Numerous stops are made for photos – so don’t forget your camera. Explore these neighborhoods:

North Beach Little Italy: This famous culinary destination prides itself on authentic Italian fare and bustles with activity both day and night. Stop in Washington Square Park, near St. Peter and Paul Church, and learn about the authentic Beat Generation in North Beach. Chinatown: A veritable city within a city. Cruise through historic Chinatown and past hidden alleys in the largest Chinese community outside of Asia. As the tour moves farther east, enjoy romantic night views of the Transamerica Pyramid and the Ferry Building. Fisherman’s Wharf & Waterfront: See hidden gems like Fish Alley, Fisherman’s Chapel, a WWII Liberty Ship, and the Pampanito submarine. Pause to take in breathtaking nighttime views of the Alcatraz Lighthouse and the twinkling lights of the Bay Bridge.

Before returning to Fisherman’s Wharf, the tour will loop back from the edge of the Financial District and along the breath talking Water Front. Cruise past historic piers along the Embarcadero while the San Francisco Bay glitters against the night. Return to the starting point, and perhaps visit the Buena Vista Café after the tour ends for a taste of their famous Irish coffee.

ADVANCED HILLS TOUR

Your narrated “San Francisco Hills and Crooked Street Advanced Rider Segway Tour” will feature spectacular views of San Francisco Bay. Your experienced and fun tour guide will narrate your tour through a compact single ear-bud sound system. Each guest is issued a compact radio receiver.
Cruise through Aquatic Park and to the end of Municipal Pier. See the San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, great views of Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge and unbelievable bay vistas. Climb the slopes of Russian Hill – the affluent residential neighborhood’s name goes back to the Gold Rush-era when settlers discovered a small Russian cemetery at the top of the hill. Enjoy sweeping Russian Hill views of Alcatraz, Coit Tower, The Bay Bridge and San Francisco Bay.
Peek down Hidden Stairways and Paths and see some of San Francisco’s 350 hidden stairways and pedestrian-only lanes. Climb past the Cable Cars to the peak of Lombard Street and then glide down the world’s most famous “Crooked Street!”
Cruise towards North Beach on the slopes of Telegraph Hill. North Beach is the city’s most European neighborhood, with a primarily Italian flavor. Recently it was honored as one of the 10 greatest neighborhoods in the country. Stop and see St. Peter and Paul’s Church and Washington Square Park, the center of “Little Italy.” Return to the waterfront near Pier 39 – home of the sea lions, and one of the top tourist attractions in the nation. You will see Historic Fishing fleets and crab stands as you glide back to the starting point.
