CA2S, the "Silicon Valley
Wings", is the oldest, continuously active GWRRA chapter in the San Francisco
Bay Area. Chartered in October 1981, Chapter S has been active as a rider's
club and community service organization with interests in many worthy causes
over the years.
Chapter CA2S usually meets
the THIRD SATURDAY of each month. Come at 8:00 A.M. and join us for breakfast,
the meeting starts at 8:45 a.m.. Hometown
Buffet, 212
Ranch Dr.
Milpitas, CA 95035 408-935-0893
There is
at least one planned Chapter ride on the weekends. Some are one-day rides, others are
over-nighters. Different people plan the ride in detail and lead the group to
and from the destination. We meet at one of four different start points. See
the monthly newsletter or
Web
calendar for more info. Your participation is by no means required, however the
presence of your company is always welcome.
As part of the GWRRA
philosophy, Rider Education is important. GWRRA encourages all of its members to
become INFORMED AND SAFE RIDERS. Each of our chapter meetings, as well as
our newsletter, contain gems of wisdom from our chapter Safety Officer. We
also conduct periodic Parking Lot Practice events (PLPs) for our chapter members
and guests to hone their slow speed maneuvering skills.
There are many GWRRA
chapters all over the country and all over the world. We at chapter CA2S
are proud to call one of these chapters our sister chapter. This is
chapter CO-I in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They are known as "The
'Springs Wings" and have a full and active membership. You can check out
their web page, and even
contact them if you're planning to visit the Colorado area.
If you have any questions,
don't hesitate to contact any CA2S members listed on our
Officers web page. Hope we see you soon.
